What you may do without asking
-
Display a lawfully purchased original or print in your home or private office.
-
Resell the physical original or print you own.
-
Share low-resolution, in-situ room photos on social media or your blog where the artwork appears in your space. Please credit: “Artwork by Anne Reid Artist — annereidartist.com.” Avoid high-resolution, full-frame images that could substitute for the artwork.
Uses that require a license
-
Reproductions of any kind, including print, digital, web, video, social, packaging, product designs, apps, album covers, book covers, signage, or campaign assets.
-
Commercial, brand, or editorial projects including advertising, sponsorships, press kits, retail, events, billboards, DOOH, broadcast, or streaming.
-
Edits or overlays that change meaning, including cropping, text, graphics, filters, composite use, removal of signatures, or removal of metadata.
-
Promotion of exhibitions using the artwork image in posters, programs, websites, digital displays, or media releases. Displaying a lawfully owned work in person is allowed; promotional reproduction requires a license.
How to request a license
Use the licensing request form or contact Eugene Reid, Strategic Partnerships, at sales@annereidartist.com or 416-854-1247.
To receive a fast, useful reply, please include:
-
Intended use: editorial, commercial, brand, hospitality, worship, education, publishing, recording, digital display, streaming, or other defined use.
-
Media and placement: where the artwork will appear, in what format, and at what resolution or size.
-
Scope: territory, term, estimated audience, impressions, and any rollout details.
-
Exclusivity: whether exclusive rights are required.
-
Artwork title(s): plus your deadline, budget range, and any relevant campaign or project context.
What happens next: your request is reviewed for scope, fit, availability, and rights alignment. If the opportunity is a fit, you will receive the next step by email or phone. That may include follow-up questions, a licensing quote, artwork recommendations, and a simple agreement for e-signature.
Best fit: defined editorial, commercial, publishing, hospitality, ministry, broadcast, streaming, and strategic placement uses with a specific scope, term, territory, and media plan.
Not a fit: vague or unlimited-rights requests, resale of the artwork as a standalone image asset, removal of authorship, or uses that conflict with the integrity of the work.

Regional notes
United States: U.S. uses are governed by U.S. copyright law; certain remedies may require steps under that law.
