Collector Statement
Fourth Man is built as an event of light rather than an illustration: an oculus of gold and orange opens at the center, ringed by magenta and crimson currents that read like heat in motion. Four upright figures stand at the threshold—three dense silhouettes and a fourth, paler presence—so the viewer experiences danger and protection at once. The work narrows attention, pulls the eye inward, and holds it there, making “presence” feel like a measurable visual fact.
The title is not metaphor. It names Daniel 3’s vision of four figures walking unbound in the flames, the fourth perceived as more-than-human. Anne Reid Artist translates this sacred theme into contemporary painterly language—chromatic field, gesture, atmosphere—without irony and without anecdote. In doing so, the work reclaims an older function of images: not merely to depict, but to witness—to steady the viewer and to shape moral imagination through sustained looking.
This is why the work matters now, and why it will read clearly later. In a period shaped by conceptual suspicion and distracted viewing, Fourth Man argues for painting as encounter—an image that can hold meaning without explanation. The 48 × 64 acrylic facemount edition (25) intensifies that encounter through scale and luminous presentation, while remaining legible to collectors through disciplined scarcity, documentation, and the long durability of its iconographic source.

Each work is mounted with rigid backing and a concealed subframe to maintain structural stability at statement scale.
Production & Artist Involvement
Each Limited Edition is produced to order in collaboration with a professional fine art print studio in Ontario, Canada. The print is reviewed in person by Anne Reid Artist prior to final facemounting to ensure color integrity and material quality.
Every piece is hand-signed and numbered by the artist before the acrylic facemount process, preserving the signature beneath the finished surface.
Because of this hands-on process, production timelines are typically 2–3 weeks prior to shipment.

Collector Integrity Notes
- Luminosity: The original painting contains layered surface texture and atmospheric glow that can be difficult to capture precisely in photography. Metallic paper and acrylic facemounting are intentionally selected to preserve depth and radiance at scale.
- Color representation: Variations may occur between screens and the finished piece.
- Surface care: Acrylic surfaces should be handled with care to avoid scratching; professional installation is recommended at this size.
- Edition finality: No additional pieces will be produced beyond the stated edition of 25.
