Summary
Angels 2 is an open-edition cropped-detail fine art print by Anne Reid Artist — two luminous figures in indigo and emerald suggesting guardianship and calm at a midnight threshold. Minimal yet atmospheric, it adds a composed focal point to homes, hospitality interiors, wellness spaces, and curated galleries. Available on archival paper, canvas, metal, and acrylic.
Artwork Statement
Night breathes and the veil feels thin. In Angels 2 I drew close to the right side of my painting Angels, letting two radiant messengers hold the frame. They stand as quiet witnesses — emerald halos against deep indigo — suggesting a threshold or gate, and the sense that help is near even when unseen. The palette is intentionally cool and restful so the light feels like a benediction rather than a blaze.
Variation & Edition Notes
This is an artist-directed cropped-detail edition — the composition isolates two guardian figures and the gate-like structure at the right side of the original painting Angels. Subtle color balancing and contrast refinement were applied to keep the glow legible across the range of available sizes while preserving the original brush texture. No figures were added; no AI-generated content was used.
Color & Mood
- Indigo, teal, cobalt, and turquoise ground with soft emerald highlight accents
- Luminous chartreuse-green heads provide the focal light against the dark field
- Calm, protective, and contemplative — a quiet night watch
- Cool enough for modern and minimal interiors; warm enough in feeling for bedrooms and prayer spaces
Design Notes
- Landscape orientation (5:4) — wider than tall; suits spaces above a bed, sofa, or console
- Two vertical veils of color with a right-side focal glow; the darker right edge reads as a gate or threshold structure
- Negative space carries the sense of inhabited night — the right field breathes and recedes
- Pairs well with matte black, brushed brass, or pale wood frames
Where It Works
- Bedrooms — the protective, restful palette works above a headboard or beside a reading lamp
- Nurseries — gentle presence and cool tones create a calming environment
- Quiet reflection corners and meditation spaces — the atmosphere of attentive stillness suits contemplative use
- Healthcare and hospitality environments — tranquil, uplifting, and non-literal in its spiritual language
- Wellness spaces, spas, and retreat settings where composed calm matters
Pairing Ideas
- Angels 3, print — vertical crop from the same original; paired together they create a quiet diptych of guardianship
- Presence, print — similar cool-blue atmosphere and the same sense of inhabited stillness
- Messenger 3, print — square-format companion in the angelic messenger family; softer and more intimate in scale

Bathroom Suitability
For humid bathrooms, metal or acrylic facemount are the strongest choices — both are moisture-resistant and wipe-clean. In a dry powder room or well-ventilated space, glazed archival paper works well at the smaller sizes. Canvas is not recommended for high-humidity bathrooms.
