Faith 3, print by Anne Reid Artist captures a leap toward the Light — a solitary figure leaning forward through fire, arms open, silhouetted against a blazing surge of white-gold and ember red. Derived from the original 2018 painting Faith, this digitally enhanced variant adds a soft spotlight and refined contrast so the glow, silhouette, and upward movement hold clearly at print scale.
This open edition fine art print is available on archival paper, canvas, metal, and acrylic. It brings bold warmth, symbolic strength, and quiet devotional intensity into the space.
Faith 3, print is an open-edition fine art print by Anne Reid Artist, derived from the original 2018 painting Faith. A solitary figure leans forward through a blazing field of ember red and gold, arms outstretched, silhouetted against a surge of white light. Bold, devotional, and upward-moving — this vertical work carries the energy of trust under pressure and courage at the threshold.
Artwork Statement
I painted Faith abstractly, the way many of my paintings begin — with movement, atmosphere, color, and marks, watching to see what would emerge. As the painting developed, I began to see a figure leaning forward with arms extended, almost suspended between fear and trust. The sharp rising marks around her became vertical strikes of yellow-gold light: fire, flame, or spiritual intensity breaking through the darkness.
Years later, when I returned to the image to consider it as a print edition, I worked with it in a photo-editing tool and discovered I could add a spotlight. I tried it, enriched the color, and realized the added light dramatically strengthened the image. The spotlight did not feel random — it clarified what was already present. The figure became more clearly oriented toward the light, and the emotional force of the piece became stronger.
The figure is not standing in safety. She is leaning forward, arms extended, surrounded by darkness and fire, moving toward what she cannot fully see. That posture is the whole message: trust before full understanding, obedience before visible certainty, surrender toward the presence of God.
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1, KJV). That verse is close to the posture of this figure. She is not standing in full visibility or certainty. She is moving toward what she cannot fully see yet, trusting that the Light is real and worth reaching for.
Color & Mood
Dominant field: blazing ember red and fire-orange — intensity, passion, and encounter
White-gold spotlight from left-center — revelation, the source of light the figure moves toward
Dark silhouette — human form in relief; defined by what surrounds her
Vertical gold-orange flame streaks rising from the lower body — fire ascending
Deep violet-black base — weight, gravity, what is being left behind
White-gold spotlight creates dramatic tension between shadow and revelation
Silhouetted figure allows personal identification — the posture speaks before the detail
Strong room-scale read — the glow and silhouette hold clearly at all available sizes
Where It Works
Prayer corners, studies, and bedrooms where a strong but contemplative presence is welcome
Stairwells, hallways, and transitional spaces where the vertical composition lifts the eye
Creative studios, reception areas, and hospitality settings that suit bold warmth and symbolic strength
Sanctuaries, counseling spaces, and places of intercession

Collector Reflections
Installation photo shared by collectors in Niagara-on-the-Lake. The image shows a sister work from the Faith series displayed beneath the Hebrew letter shin; the reflection below applies to Faith 3 as well.
"We were drawn to the bold, fiery color and the 'leap of faith' the figure embodies. During a season when our faith was being tested, this piece became a timely reminder of the Lord's faithfulness. Again and again the Holy Spirit encouraged us not to give up, but to trust — especially when we couldn't see the way forward. It has strengthened us and keeps pointing us back to His love and presence."

Integrity Notes
Faith 3, print is not a straight full-composition reproduction of the original painting. It is a digitally enhanced cropped variant derived from Faith (2018, acrylic on paper mounted on wood panel board, 9×12 in). A soft spotlight was added using a photo-editing tool, and color enrichment and tonal refinements were introduced so the figure, glow, and vertical flame-like accents hold clearly at print scale. The vertical flame streaks and underlying brushwork originate in the original painting. The hand-painted silhouette and color relationships remain faithful to the source. No AI generation was used.
The flame streaks in this print were already in the paint. The digital work clarified what was always there — the light, the upward reach, the threshold moment. I wrestled with whether adding the spotlight was honest. My answer was: only if I say so. The Integrity Notes exist to tell that story truthfully. What matters is whether the image now says more clearly what it was always trying to say. I believe it does.
