Summary
Falcon is a prophetic fine art print about spiritual sight, hidden wisdom, and the need to call on God for revelation beyond what natural perception can see. A luminous falcon-like form stands watchful on the left while a burning city glows in the lower center — neon orange, fuchsia, rose, and violet filling the field around them. For prophets, intercessors, seers, watchmen, and spiritually attentive believers who understand that even the sharpest natural vision cannot see what God is doing beneath the surface of the age.
Artwork Statement
I painted Falcon in May 2017 during an all-night prayer meeting at Catch the Fire Toronto, during a two- to three-hour worship set led by Patricia Buitsma — senior leader and prophet. I began abstractly as always, choosing neon orange, yellow, and fuchsia because I love that combination. It is bright, joyful, and cheerful.
Two things stand out to me in the finished painting. Near the bottom, yellow and red marks look like a city on fire — turmoil, trouble, chaos. Painted in 2017, before the visible unrest of the years after 2020, it now feels like a prophetic picture of the decade we are in.
The other is the bird. What came to me was a falcon — and that led to Job 28:7 and Jeremiah 33:3. Even a falcon with extraordinary natural sight cannot see the hidden path deep within. Those who are gifted to see can still be blind to what God is doing unless they call on Him. We can see the turmoil easily enough in this decade. What we cannot always see is what God is doing in the midst of it. That is what we need most — eyes to see and ears to hear what the Spirit is saying, so we can be stable, clear, and able to build what He has given us to do.
Scripture
The path [deep within] no bird of prey knows, and the falcon's eye has not caught sight of it. (Job 28:7, AMP)
Call to Me and I will answer you, and tell you, and even show you great and mighty things… which you do not know. (Jeremiah 33:3, AMP)
Color & Mood
- Palette: neon orange-amber right field; fuchsia and magenta deepening to violet on the left; luminous cream-white and rose-peach falcon form; red and yellow city-like marks at the lower center; deep plum lower ground.
- Mood: watchful, radiant, and quietly charged — beauty and intensity held together.
- Strong read from across the room; up close reveals feathered transitions and the specific character of the city marks at the base.
Design Notes
- 4:3 landscape — the falcon occupies the left half; the right opens into a vast glowing orange field.
- Left-weighted bird with expansive negative space that amplifies presence and watchfulness.
- The burning city marks in the lower center are understated but charged — a secondary focal point that deepens the meaning.
Where It Works
- Prayer rooms, intercession spaces, and prophetic ministry environments.
- Leadership offices and ministry spaces for those who carry a seeing gift.
- Living rooms, entries, corridors, and studies that benefit from a centering, watchful presence.
- Hospitality and office settings seeking non-literal artwork with depth and prophetic meaning.

Quality & Care
Printed with archival inks on premium media for long-term color stability. I personally proof the file so the inner glow of the falcon reads true and the orange field remains alive without overpowering the room. Handle with clean, dry hands; avoid prolonged direct sunlight.
