Summary
Glory Stream 3 is a color-variant fine art print derived from the 2016 original painting Glory Stream — a work painted live during worship at Eagle Worldwide Ministries in Copetown, Ontario. The print isolates the left cascade of the original and develops the palette into saturated orange-gold and deep cobalt, drawing out a warmer, more fire-like dimension of movement and light from the original cool-toned composition. It carries the imagery of glory streaming down from heaven, worship ascending, and heaven and earth aligned — expressed through bold color, living motion, and the impasto marks of the hand-painted original.
Artwork Statement
I painted the original Glory Stream live during a worship gathering at Eagle Worldwide Ministries in Copetown, Ontario — one of their summer tent meetings, where churches and speakers would gather together. I was part of the worship team for that gathering, painting at the front while worship was happening around me. It was an early period for me in this kind of work, and the painting came freely.
The title draws from the second verse of Silent Night — glories stream from heaven afar, heavenly hosts sing Alleluia — and from the teaching of Ruth Heflin, who described the movement from praise into worship into glory as a progression: praise opens the way, worship deepens it, and then you stand in what comes down. That progression was alive in the room that night, and it became the movement of the painting.
When I look at the original, I can see figures on the right-hand side — to me they represented the great cloud of witnesses. On the left side there is what reads like an angel, and the stream itself is like a ribbon. Because I was in a worship setting, the meaning became clear: the worship was going up and the glory was coming down. Heaven and earth were aligned. The saints on earth and the saints in heaven were joined together — what was happening in the room was connected to something larger.
The original was bought that same day by a woman who felt she was meant to support my work. Her husband loved it deeply, and she later gave it as a wedding gift to a family member. It has been in private hands ever since.
Years later, when I began developing fine art prints, I returned to Glory Stream and other early originals with fresh eyes. I wanted to see what more could be drawn out — through cropping, color development, and new presentation — for homes, public spaces, and designers. It felt like multiplication: taking what I had as pure gold and seeing what else could be created from that foundation. Glory Stream 3 came from that process. The crop focuses the left cascade — the angel-like form and the ribbon stream — into a single vertical movement, and the palette was developed into warm orange-gold and cobalt to bring out a different intensity from the original.
Variation & Edition Notes
Glory Stream 3 is an artist-directed color-variant and detail-crop edition derived from the 2016 original painting Glory Stream, acrylic on canvas, 20×16 in. The original is a cool-palette work — predominantly teal, aqua, cerulean, and sky blue with gold-yellow accents and two cascading forms. For this print, the left cascade was isolated as a vertical crop and the palette was intentionally developed into saturated orange-gold and deep cobalt-ultramarine, creating a warmer, higher-contrast version of the original movement. The angel-like form and ribbon stream of the left cascade are the subject of the crop. Brushwork and impasto ribbing from the hand-painted original are preserved throughout. No new forms were added.
Color & Mood
- Palette: saturated orange-gold and deep cobalt-ultramarine with violet strokes, magenta flicker, and a black accent at the warm-cool seam.
- Mood: bold, energized, and moving — fire-like warmth meeting deep cool, creating strong visual tension and forward momentum.
- Pairs well with warm mocha neutrals, navy, and brass or black accents; the orange-cobalt contrast also reads strongly against white walls and concrete.
Design Notes
- Vertical 2:3 composition; the single sweeping cascade reads clean and architectural at any scale.
- High warm-cool contrast makes this one of the most spatially active prints in the collection — it moves.
- Impasto ribbing from the original hand-painted surface adds tactile depth and presence at larger sizes.
- At 40×60 and 48×72 in, the impasto detail and color intensity make this well suited to lobby walls, gallery-style installs, and large open living spaces.
Where It Works
- Living rooms and dining spaces needing strong color movement and warm-cool contrast.
- Entry corridors and stair landings where the vertical cascade reads powerfully from a distance.
- Hospitality lobbies, spas, and contemporary public spaces where large-format presence is needed.
- Kitchens and café-style spaces with navy, mocha, or neutral finishes where the orange-cobalt brings energy and warmth.
