Summary
Burning Bush 3 is a landscape metal print built around fire, contrast, and concentrated visual force. Its glowing orange field, dark branching structure, and deep violet grounding give it a strong architectural presence, especially in interiors that benefit from color, warmth, and a clear focal point.
Artwork Statement
I am drawn to the directness of this image. Burning Bush 3 carries heat, intensity, and encounter in a distilled way, without losing the painterly feel of the original work. In this metal presentation, the fire and color become especially vivid, making the piece well suited to spaces that can hold bold light and strong atmosphere.
Color & Mood
- Orange and red lead the image with heat, radiance, and visual force.
- Deep violet and plum tones give the composition grounding and contrast.
- Touches of gold and pale flame tones intensify the sense of light.
- The overall mood is bold, contemplative, energized, and arresting.
Design Notes
- The 2:3 landscape format gives the image a wider, more cinematic wall presence than the original square work.
- The dark branching form creates a strong central anchor against the luminous field.
- High contrast between fire and ground helps the image read clearly from a distance.
- Metal is especially well suited to this image because it heightens the radiance of the warm color while keeping the darker passages crisp and clear.
Where It Works
- Listening rooms and media spaces that benefit from warmth, intensity, and color-driven atmosphere.
- Modern interiors where a bold focal piece can carry the room.
- Living rooms, studies, and entryways that need strong visual energy.
- Hospitality and design-led spaces where contemporary warmth and contrast are welcome.

Integrity Notes
Burning Bush 3 is a cropped and reformatted print state based on the 2018 original painting Burning Bush. It does not reproduce the full 12 × 12 in original exactly; instead, it isolates the central fire-tree passage into a wider landscape presentation for this 2024 metal edition. Beyond that reframing and the print-edition signature treatment, no materially altered composite state is being claimed here.

Notes from the Studio
This image carries a kind of distilled heat that I still love. The wider format lets the fire-tree sit with more breathing room and gives the piece a stronger environmental presence than the original square work. On metal, the color becomes especially vivid, which is why it works so well in listening rooms and modern interiors where bold atmosphere matters.
