I created A River Runs Through It 2, print as a quieter, lighter square edition of the river-crossing theme. The figures move together rather than alone, held within a field of blue water and golden light. For me, the river is both obstacle and passage: a place of transition, renewal, and companionship where one person reaches, another steadies, and the way forward becomes shared.
The pale central light carries the sense of invitation. A cross-like mark in the distance quietly anchors the movement, so the piece reads not simply as landscape or abstraction, but as a spiritual passage toward hope.
The scripture thread behind this work draws from Ezekiel 47, where a river flows from the Temple and brings healing to everything it touches — deeper and deeper the further it goes. Psalm 46:4 speaks of the river whose streams make glad the city of God. And Revelation 22:1 names it clearly: the river of the water of life, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God. The pale, luminous palette of this edition carries that crystalline quality — the river not as flood or wilderness, but as healing, life, and the gladness of arrival.

The palette has been shifted toward a cooler, more ethereal register — the intense yellow-gold and deep cobalt of the original give way to pale lemon-white, soft aqua-blue, and diffused light. This edition was made to present the river-crossing theme in a quieter, more contemplative key suited to spaces where a softer, more luminous atmosphere is preferred.
Palette: soft blues, pale aqua, pale green, yellow-white crossing-light, and warm gold — cooler and more ethereal than the vivid original. Mood: reflective, hopeful, companionable, calm, and gently luminous. The image reads quietly from across the room, with figure movement and layered texture visible up close.
The square 1:1 format gives the composition a centered, meditative presence. Grouped human figures suggest guidance, mentoring, crossing, and communal movement. The blue-gold field balances water, light, and spiritual threshold imagery, while the pale palette of this edition gives the work an especially serene and room-friendly reading in modern interiors.
Living rooms, bedrooms, and studies where a calm square focal point is needed are natural placements.
