Artwork Statement

In my work, angels rarely arrive as literal figures. They come through atmosphere, hovering light, and the quality of stillness that settles when unseen help is near. When I painted Angels, I was working toward that sense of companionship — the kind that does not announce itself but remains. The figures are suggested rather than described: luminous heads against indigo, turquoise forms half-dissolved into the ground, a hush that feels inhabited. I wanted this painting to steady a room, not fill it with noise.
