Summary
Counsel 3 is a prophetic fine art print for leaders who want to invite the Spirit of Counsel into the space where they are building and making decisions. Rooted in Isaiah 11:2 — the Spirit of Counsel resting on the Messiah, the King who rises from the stump of Jesse — this is not simply art about guidance. It is an invitation to cultivate the atmosphere of the Spirit of Counsel in the rooms where strategy is formed, decisions are made, and the Lord's counsel is sought above all other voices. Four luminous figures stand together at the center of the composition — fire on the left, deep green on the right, light holding steady between them. For leaders in the church, government, and marketplace who understand that significant spaces require more than human intelligence. They require the Spirit.
Artwork Statement
I began this piece in the prophetic style — choosing colors and applying them in what some might call a random fashion, but which I prefer to call a Holy Spirit-led fashion informed by artistic training. I work this way to allow the river of creativity within me to flow out like a river of living water. Then I step back from the canvas and look to see what He is saying — prayerfully considering which elements stand out as having particular form or meaning. What I see is shaped by the rich deposit of His Word stored in my heart and by what I know of His nature and His ways through my personal walk with Him.
I am always amazed when the penny drops and I see what is taking shape. For this painting, it seemed right compositionally to create the long, luminous focal point in the center. Once I did, I could see four figures gathered close, as it were in conversation. The title came to mind immediately: Counsel. And then the scripture: There are many plans in a man's heart, nevertheless the Lord's counsel — that will stand (Proverbs 19:21, NKJV).
The palette I chose for Counsel was a departure from my usual choices, and I was delighted by it. The orange, amber, lime, and deep teal feel charged — heat and life together, tension and resolution. The composition moves from the hot left field, through the luminous center, and into the deep greens and blues on the right — like wisdom arriving in the middle of difficult terrain and settling into something living and true.
It is my hope that those who see this painting — who are seeking direction, facing opposition, or standing at a crossroads — will be encouraged that the Lord himself will secure their steps.
Scripture
The Spirit of the Lord will rest on Him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and strength, the spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord. (Isaiah 11:2, NASB)
Isaiah wrote this of the coming Messiah — the King who would rise from the seemingly dead stump of Jesse. Unlike any ruler before Him, this King would carry the Spirit of the Lord in its fullness: wisdom and understanding, counsel and might, knowledge and the fear of God. The Spirit of Counsel here means the capacity to make right strategic decisions; the Spirit of Might means the power to act on them. Together they describe a quality of leadership that is wholly beyond human ability — and fully available in Christ. Jesus fulfilled these prophecies in His first coming and will continue to fulfill them when He returns to rule.
There are many plans in a man's heart, nevertheless the Lord's counsel — that will stand. (Proverbs 19:21, NKJV)
Color & Mood
- Palette: deep burnt orange-red left field; warm amber-gold center column; electric lime-green right field; luminous lavender-blue and white central figures; deep teal-navy lower register; small yellow-green square form upper left.
- Mood: charged, authoritative, and quietly confident — heat and life in tension, with a luminous center that holds its ground.
- The composition moves from fire through light into deep green — from pressure through clarity into life.
Design Notes
- 4:5 vertical composition — the luminous central figures draw the eye immediately and hold it.
- The warm-cool contrast between the orange left field and lime-green right field creates strong visual energy, held in balance by the luminous center.
- The small square form upper left provides a secondary point of interest and a sense of architectural space.
- The deep teal and navy lower register grounds the composition and gives it weight.
- At 40×48 and 48×58 in, the painting reads with full authority — the figures become genuinely large-scale presences.

Collector Reflections
"Anne Reid has been gifted by God with a special ability to translate the images of heaven, the visions of God's heart, and the activity of the Spirit into masterpieces that directly touch the human spirit."
— Faith Marie Baczko, President of FMB Ministries, apostle of Jesus Christ, Oakville, Canada
The original painting Counsel was given by Anne Reid Artist to Faith Marie Baczko — author, apostolic and prophetic teacher, and founder of Faith Marie Baczko Ministries, devoted for more than three decades to the study of Scripture and the revelation of God's redemptive plan in Christ. The painting lives in the room where Faith prays, writes, and receives revelation — part of the atmosphere of the seven spirits of God she intentionally cultivates in her home, maintaining an open heaven to hear, see, and receive from the Lord. In her own words, prophetic art directly touches the human spirit. Counsel is not decoration in that room. It is part of the sacred space itself.

Quality & Care
Printed with archival inks on premium media for long-term color stability. I personally review color and contrast so the charged warmth of the orange field and the luminosity of the central figures remain faithful to the original. Handle with clean, dry hands; avoid prolonged direct sunlight to preserve the full depth of the palette.
