Summary
Valley of Decision 2 is a prophetic open edition fine art print — a panoramic landscape crop from Anne Reid Artist's original 2017 acrylic painting, artist-directed in 2025. Rooted in Joel 3:14, it places multitudes at the edge of a radiant white-green light: a declaration of collective reckoning, spiritual choice, and divine convergence at scale. Built for significant spaces — boardrooms, executive suites, lobbies, church leadership environments, and architectural walls. Available on paper, metal, canvas, and acrylic in five panoramic sizes up to 80×40 in.
Artwork Statement
Valley of Decision holds the tension of a threshold moment — where many paths narrow toward a single point of light. Figures emerge along a descending plane, drawn forward not by command, but by clarity. The illuminated center acts as a gathering force, inviting attention without prescribing outcome.
The valley becomes a place of collective reckoning — quiet, weighty, and unresolved in the most intentional way. The scripture is Joel 3:14: "Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision."
Variation & Edition Notes
- Source painting: acrylic on canvas, 24×36 in, completed 2017
- Print edition: artist-directed panoramic landscape crop, 2025
- Crop rationale: the original is vertical; the horizontal crop concentrates the composition on the valley floor, the converging paths, and the gathered figures — strengthening collective movement and decision
- Artist refinements: central light refined to read as a clear sunlit gathering point; tonal transitions adjusted to preserve depth across the wide format; minor contrast and edge refinements made to hold figure presence at larger sizes
Color & Mood
- Focal color: white-green sunburst — a singular radiant gathering point
- Dominant color: green — luminous and atmospheric across the full panoramic width
- Spice color 1: yellow — radiating outward from the central light
- Spice color 2: black silhouettes — many small figures across the valley floor
- Mood: decision, national and spiritual calling, procession toward light
- The scale contrast between the gathered multitude and the singular light makes the prophetic theme immediate — and increasingly powerful as the format grows
Design Notes
- Panoramic 2:1 aspect ratio — proportions that suit architectural walls, long corridors, and boardroom environments
- The wide format draws the viewer laterally inward toward the central light, amplifying the gathering theme
- Strong figure-ground contrast ensures the work reads clearly at distance and holds at large scale
Where It Works
- Boardrooms and executive suites — the decision-making theme and scale make this a natural anchor for leadership spaces in the church and the marketplace
- Church leadership environments — sanctuaries, elder meeting rooms, and prophetic-culture spaces where Joel 3:14 carries direct weight
- Lobbies, reception areas, and hospitality interiors — the luminous green field and procession imagery create immediate presence in public-facing spaces
- Event and conference spaces — the panoramic format and gathering theme suit rooms where consequential decisions are made
- Large residential walls — open-plan living spaces, stairwells, and dining rooms where panoramic scale is an asset

Notes from the Studio
Joel 3:14 names the valley plainly — multitudes, in a place of decision. I painted this as a declaration: the gathering is real, the light is real, and the moment cannot be deferred. When I directed the panoramic crop, I wanted the width to carry the sense of mass and procession — the crowd, and the light at the center, exactly where it should be. This is a painting for people who understand that some moments in a nation, a church, or a marketplace require a response.
