Summary
Covered by Glory is a vertical open-edition fine art print by Anne Reid Artist — a 2025 artist-directed color-variant edition of the 2018 original acrylic on paper. A bowed female figure flanked by two wing-like forms, her head beginning to lift toward light, carries a message of healing, emergence, and identity restored.
Artwork Statement
I began this painting intuitively, watching to see what emerged. A bowed female figure appeared — almost enclosed between two wing-like forms, her head lowered, carrying the weight of sorrow, rejection, and wounds. But her head was also beginning to lift, turning toward the light. That small upward movement became the spiritual center of the work: transformation already underway, not yet complete. At the time, I was walking through my own healing journey, and the image held both the vulnerability of being wounded and the promise of being restored.
Variation & Edition Notes
The original 2018 painting carried a cool, subdued palette — blues, greens, and pale yellow. Years later, I experimented with hue and saturation using a photo editing tool, and the palette shifted dramatically to vivid blue, orange, coral, pink, and green. That transformation became part of the meaning: what had felt quiet and wounded now looked fiery, joyful, and full of glory. This 2025 print edition is that color-transformed state. The original 9×12 in acrylic on paper painting remains in the studio and is available. Collectors interested in the original may contact Anne Reid Artist directly.
Color & Mood
- Vivid cobalt and ultramarine blue anchor the figure with strength and depth.
- Radiant orange and coral sweep the upper field — warmth, fire, and emerging glory.
- Electric green fills the lower register with life and renewed energy.
- Hot pink and red accents carry intensity, joy, and spiritual passion.
- The overall mood is bold, joyful, and triumphant — glory revealed after a long night.
Design Notes
- The vertical format gives the figure room to breathe and creates a sense of ascent.
- The bowed head and beginning lift create a narrative arc within a single image — sorrow turning toward hope.
- The two wing-like flanking forms create enclosure without entrapment — covering, not imprisoning.
- The oversaturated color palette is intentional and expressive — the transformation of color is part of the meaning.
- Strong in large-format presentations where the color field and figure can fully command a wall.
- Featured in the BOHO Collection and the Curated Fine Art Collection.
Where It Works
- Living rooms that need a bold, luminous vertical focal piece with deep color and meaning.
- Bedrooms as a personal and encouraging presence — especially for those in a season of healing or emergence.
- Prayer rooms, counseling spaces, and retreat interiors where transformation and hope are the intended atmosphere.
- Hospitality suites, boutique hotels, and gallery walls that want expressive figurative abstraction.
- Entryways where the message of emergence and identity matters from the moment of arrival.
- Bathrooms: Metal or Acrylic for humid or spa-style spaces.

Print Options & Materials
- Paper for a classic fine art presentation behind glass.
- Canvas for painterly depth and a softer wall presence that honors the painting's origins.
- Metal for luminous, saturated color and a bold contemporary statement — especially strong at larger sizes.
- Acrylic for depth, clarity, and a polished modern finish that intensifies the color field.
Bathroom Suitability
For humid bathrooms and spa-style spaces, Metal or Acrylic are the strongest choices. Framed paper works well in dry, ventilated bathrooms with glazing.

Notes from the Studio
She has gone from being hidden to being put on display. That is what God does in us. What was once tucked away in pain becomes a testimony displayed. What was covered in sorrow becomes covered in glory.
“You, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high.”
Psalm 3:3, New International Version
