Summary
Pentecost is a vertical open-edition fine art print by Anne Reid Artist, prepared from the 2016 original acrylic on canvas painting of the same name. Soft white, blush, gold, and ember tones create a descending, Spirit-filled atmosphere that feels luminous rather than loud. The composition suits bedrooms, living rooms, prayer rooms, hospitality suites, and reflective offices that need warmth, lift, and contemplative presence.
Artwork Statement
I painted Pentecost during a Wednesday night House of Prayer set at Catch the Fire Toronto. For me, this piece carries both descent and ignition—the sense of presence arriving softly, then gathering strength. I wanted the movement to feel alive and upward-reaching, while still holding enough quiet for a room to rest inside it.
Color & Mood
- Soft white and blush form the luminous central field.
- Warm gold and ochre carry the surrounding atmosphere without heaviness.
- Ember orange and flame red give the composition its sense of ignition and descent.
- Dusty rose and mauve ground the base with quiet warmth.
- The overall mood is contemplative, radiant, prayerful, and gently energized.
Design Notes
- A descending central form gives the composition its sense of visitation and movement.
- Soft transitions and layered texture keep the piece luminous rather than graphic.
- The darker lower register grounds the image, helping the lighter upper movement read clearly in real rooms.
- This vertical format works especially well where the wall needs height, softness, and a stronger focal presence.
Where It Works
- Bedrooms, living rooms, quiet reading corners, prayer rooms, and home offices.
- Hospitality suites, retreat spaces, executive lounges, and reception areas seeking warmth without harsh contrast.
- Strong above consoles, chests, sideboards, and narrower walls that benefit from vertical lift.

Print Options & Materials
- Paper for a classic fine art presentation with a soft, matte read.
- Canvas for gallery-wrapped depth with low glare and painterly presence.
- Metal for a sleek, durable, and color-luminous finish suited to modern interiors.
- Acrylic for a crisp, polished, and refined contemporary presentation.
Bathroom Suitability
For humid bathrooms and spa-style spaces, Metal or Acrylic are the strongest choices. Paper and Canvas are better suited to lower-humidity rooms away from direct moisture.

Integrity Notes
This open-edition print is prepared from Anne Reid Artist’s 2016 original acrylic on canvas painting Pentecost, 18×24 in. The original painting is lost; whereabouts unknown. No evidence suggests a recolored variant, composite, remix, or digital background replacement in this released print state. Visible differences between the studio photograph and the print image are consistent with normal reproduction preparation and presentation rather than a materially altered image state. This is a 2026 print edition prepared from the original image.

Notes from the Studio
I painted Pentecost during a Wednesday night House of Prayer set at Catch the Fire Toronto. That live atmosphere still shapes the piece for me—the descending light, the sense of presence, and the movement rising through warmth.
Pairing Ideas
- Glory Cluster, print — a softer, more devotional companion that echoes the gold light and gentle radiance in Pentecost.
- Ministry of Reconciliation, print — a cooler, aqua-blue companion that creates a luminous contrast pairing with the warm ember tones of Pentecost.
