Summary
Blue Man 1 is a luminous, contemplative ChromaLuxe metal print by Anne Reid Artist, designed for listening rooms, studios, and spaces where visual depth and atmosphere matter as much as sound.
Artwork Statement
The Blue Men series grew out of Anne Reid Artist’s connection with the Torus Power team and the broader audiophile community. Over the years she came to appreciate the atmosphere surrounding serious listening — rooms designed with care, equipment chosen with intention, and moments where music becomes almost tangible.
This figure stands in that space. The posture is calm and attentive, almost waiting — someone standing just before sound fills the room.
The original work began as acrylic on paper. Later the figure was digitally refined, developing its structure, surface texture, and luminous blue environment so the image would translate beautifully to metal.
Color & Mood
- Luminous layered blues suggesting depth and atmosphere
- A quiet, contemplative presence
- Subtle light emerging through surrounding color
- An atmosphere of anticipation before music begins
Design Notes
- Single standing figure emphasizing stillness and presence
- Simplified human form allowing open interpretation
- Blue tonal layering developed through painting and digital refinement
- Vertical composition suited for architectural interiors and listening room walls
Where It Works
- Listening rooms — the frameless ChromaLuxe surface brings luminous blue depth without the glare of glass, keeping the visual environment as intentional as the acoustic one.
- Home theaters — the vertical figure anchors a front or back wall with quiet authority; scale up to 30 × 60 or 40 × 80 for rooms where the figure should hold the wall.
- Recording studios and media rooms — the contemplative register works in professional spaces where atmosphere and focus are part of the environment.
- Modern architectural interiors — clean frameless float mount, no glass, strong vertical line.
For dedicated listening rooms: position on the front wall between or behind the speakers, or centered on the back wall behind the listening position. Avoid side walls at ear height — these are the first reflection points where any hard surface can affect the soundstage.

Blue Man 1, Blue Man 2, and Blue Man 3, metal wall art — imagined in a home theater setting.
Pairing Ideas
Blue Man 1 is part of the Blue Men triptych. All three works belong together; each stands alone but the series is strongest as a group.

Bathroom Suitability
ChromaLuxe metal prints are durable and resistant to humidity, making them suitable for spa-like interiors, studios, and other environments where traditional paper prints may not be ideal.
Sizing & Placement Guidance
Available sizes: 12 × 24, 18 × 36, 24 × 48, 30 × 60, and 40 × 80 inches. All are vertical 1:2 ratio. The 30 × 60 and 40 × 80 formats are strong architectural choices for larger listening rooms and home theaters where the figure should hold the wall with presence and scale.
High Gloss is recommended for most listening rooms and dedicated audio spaces where lighting is controlled — it delivers unsurpassed color depth and luminosity. For rooms with natural light, windows, or bright overhead lighting, Satin or Mid-Gloss reduce optical glare while preserving color accuracy. Sheer Matte is available for minimal-glare preference but is not the primary recommendation for these color-field works.
For dedicated listening rooms: position on the front wall between or behind the speakers, or centered on the back wall behind the listening position. Avoid side walls at ear height — these are the first reflection points where any hard surface can affect the soundstage. Most rooms with acoustic treatment already in place have the side walls managed; the front and back walls are where art belongs.

Integrity Notes
The original artwork for Blue Man 1 was created in acrylic on paper. The metal print edition incorporates artist-directed digital refinements to develop the figure’s presence, surface texture, and luminous blue environment before translation to the ChromaLuxe medium.

Notes from the Studio
The Blue Men figures later became part of the home theater concept image created to honor the Torus Power Inc. team — founders Kevin and Howard, and Ross “Rossie,” a technical support legend known to many customers in the audio community.
