Summary
Blue Man 2 is a contemplative abstract figure rendered in luminous blues and translated onto ChromaLuxe metal for the Audiophile Collection. The work reflects the human side of high-performance audio culture—the people behind the systems, the sound, and the listening environments where music is experienced with intention.
This work is part of the Audiophile Collection featured in the Torus Power News July 2024 newsletter, created for listening rooms and high-performance audio environments where visual atmosphere deepens the experience of sound.
Artwork Statement
The Blue Men series grew out of my connection with the Torus Power team and the wider audiophile world. Over time, these figures became a way of reflecting not only the atmosphere of listening spaces, but also the distinctive personalities who help shape them.
Blue Man 2 was created in honor of Ross Whitney—known to many as “Rossie”—a bassist, sound engineer, El Mocambo rock star, and longtime Technical Sales Manager at Torus Power Inc. For many customers, Ross was not simply a name on a business card. He was a familiar voice, a trusted guide, and part of the lived culture surrounding serious audio.
This figure stands in that spirit. The posture is calm, grounded, and quietly present. I wanted the image to hold a sense of human presence inside a technological world—the kind of presence that makes a room feel personal rather than merely engineered.
The Blue Men works were further developed digitally by the artist to strengthen their form, presence, and luminous blue atmosphere before translation to metal. That process allowed the figure to carry more visual weight within contemporary listening-room and home-theater settings.
Color & Mood
- Luminous: layered blue tones create an atmosphere of depth, immersion, and calm.
- Contemplative: the simplified figure invites reflection rather than narrative closure.
- Architectural: the vertical format gives the work a strong presence in modern interiors.
- Atmospheric: subtle tonal shifts and surface texture help the image feel quietly alive.
Design Notes
- Single standing figure: emphasizes human presence, memory, and stillness.
- Vertical composition: works especially well in transitional spaces, media rooms, and tall wall placements.
- Blue tonal field: connects naturally with the cool light and immersive mood of audio and theater environments.
- Strong on metal: the ChromaLuxe surface enhances edge definition, tonal glow, and contemporary finish.

The Audiophile Connection
This work is part of the Audiophile Collection featured in the Torus Power News July 2024 newsletter, created for listening rooms and high-performance audio environments.
For me, painting and music share a language. Rhythm appears in repetition and spacing. Harmony appears in tonal relationships. Tension and release appear in contrast, scale, and movement. In a serious listening space, art does not compete with the system; it helps shape the emotional field of the room.
Blue Man 2 speaks especially to the personal side of that world. It is a reminder that behind systems, brands, and equipment are people whose knowledge, character, and presence become part of the experience itself.

Because ChromaLuxe metal has a durable, non-porous surface, it can perform well in humidity-prone interiors. For this image, I especially recommend it for listening rooms, media rooms, studios, and other refined spaces where cool tonal atmosphere and vertical presence can be fully appreciated.
Quality & Care
ChromaLuxe MetalPrint surfaces are crosslinked in nature, meaning there are no open or closed pores. This makes them easy to clean and well suited to interiors where durability matters. The surface resists odors, contaminants, and environmental wear while maintaining strong color and clarity.
A certificate of authenticity is provided under separate cover.
Edition Notes
Blue Man 2 is offered as an open edition ChromaLuxe metal print. The image was further developed digitally by the artist before production in order to strengthen the figure’s presence, tonal depth, and translation to the metal medium.
Integrity Notes
This ChromaLuxe metal edition preserves the essential figure, blue tonal structure, and contemplative atmosphere of the Blue Men series while presenting the image in a digitally refined and architecturally scaled format suitable for contemporary interiors.
The metal surface increases perceived brightness, contrast, and edge definition, especially within the layered blues and subtle highlights. The result intensifies the immersive quality of the work while maintaining its quiet human presence.
