Fourth Man, print is an open-edition fine art print by Anne Reid Artist, based on the 2018 original painting Fourth Man. A dark standing figure held within blazing crimson, gold, and orange light gives the work immediate narrative clarity while pointing to Christ’s presence in suffering. Available on paper, canvas, metal, and acrylic, this vertical piece carries unusual strength as a bold, luminous focal point.
I painted Fourth Man in response to the biblical account of the fourth figure in the furnace—the presence of Christ standing with us in trial. This work is about nearness, not distance; about peace held inside the fire; about strength that does not come from denial, but from His presence.
From a distance, the painting reads as a wall of flame with a dark central figure. Up close, layers of crimson, orange, rose, and gold create movement within the heat, holding both testing and deliverance in the same field. That is part of what prophetic art means for me: making invisible realities visible and creating room for encounter.
For humid environments, choose Metal or Acrylic. For drier rooms, Fine Art Paper or Canvas can also work beautifully when properly placed.
